During your first visit, your doctor will take a look at your bite and smile to determine if Invisalign is the right option for you. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have about your smile, Invisalign, or other treatment options.
Once you’re approved for treatment, we will take scans or impressions of your teeth to ensure your Invisalign trays fit perfectly. When your aligners arrive at our office, you’ll come and pick them up to begin your treatment.

Dr. Blalock
Dr. Blalock grew up on a beef cattle farm in Crossville, TN. The time he spent working on the farm taught Dr. Blalock valuable problem-solving skills and a good work ethic. After Dr. Blalock suffered a dental injury when a cow’s hoof contacted his teeth, his dentist repaired his smile and sparked a fascination for the art of dentistry. Because of that experience, Dr. Blalock realized his calling was to become a dentist. He loves that dental work gives him the ability to work creatively with his hands while interacting with patients and making a positive impact on their lives.
Dr. Blalock graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee Tech University with an undergraduate degree in health science biology. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry
Dr. Greg Kiene grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and served a two-year mission in Argentina before attending Brigham Young University, where he shadowed a dentist and became immediately passionate about its art and care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, as a commissioned Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, and following graduation, he was commissioned as a Captain in the Army. Dr. Kiene later participated in a one-year Advanced Education General Dentistry residency program. After serving in the Army for five years he was honorably discharged and set off for Texas to pursue his dream of opening his own practice. Along his journey, he married the girl of his dreams and currently celebrates a family of five children.
Dr. Chris Merkley grew up in Houston, Texas. Due to work, his family moved to Wyoming and even spent time in Doha, Qatar. After high school, Dr. Merkley spent two years in Peru serving a mission for his church and learned fluent Spanish.
Upon returning from his mission, Dr Merkley completed his B.S. degree in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University, then he moved to Las Vegas to complete dental school where he earned a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from UNLV School of Dental Medicine. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Merkley began his service with the United States Army and moved to Harker Heights, TX near Fort Hood. While at Fort Hood, Dr. Merkley was selected for a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry where he received additional training in bridges, implants, sinus lifts, bone grafts, dentures, orthodontics, wisdom teeth extractions and sedation dentistry. In July 2018 he received orders to be stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. After completing 6 years in the Army, Dr. Merkley and his family moved back to Texas as soon as possible!
Dr. Merkley married the love of his life, Rachel, in 2009 and together they have the pleasure of raising seven adorable, high-energy children. As a family they love to go camping, hiking, visit the beach, sing, dance, go on bike rides and play all sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee and spikeball are a few favorites).

Clear aligners treatment uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually shift your teeth into their desired position. The aligners are custom-made using 3D imaging technology that creates a virtual model of your teeth. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks to gently shift your teeth until they align with the next aligner in the series. The treatment duration varies depending on the severity of your case but typically lasts around 12 months.
Clear aligners is suitable for most people who want to straighten their teeth. However, it is best for those with mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as crooked or crowded teeth, gaps, and bite problems. Clear aligners are not recommended for treating severe orthodontic cases or complex bite problems that require more extensive treatment like braces.
Proper care of your clear aligners is essential to ensure the success of your treatment. You should brush and floss your teeth and rinse your aligners with lukewarm water after every meal or snack to prevent the buildup of bacteria and plaque. Avoid drinking anything other than water while wearing your aligners to prevent staining. Never use hot water, toothpaste, or mouthwash to clean your aligners as it can damage them.
